Drugstore Deals & Steals {12/27/09}

by admin on December 28, 2009

It has been a while since I posted my drugstore steals! Too many other things have gotten my attention lately. I was beginning to feel rusty. It sure felt good getting back in the drugstore game!

{CVS 12/27/09}{Final Cost: $3.56}

Here is the rundown:

  • 1 Glass Serving Bowl – On Sale 50% off – $4.99
  • 1 Pantene Hairspray – On sale for 2 for $7, earns $2 in EBs when you buy 2. I also used the 11.29.09 Proctor & Gamble coupon insert.
  • 1 Pantene Root Lift – See above.
  • 1 Tube of Colgate Total Advanced Toothpaste – $2.99, earns $2 in EBs. I also used the $1 off coupon from the January 2010 issue of All You magazine, making this a freebie! :)
  • 1 Fusion Razor – $8.99, earns $4.00 in EBs. I also used the $4 off coupon from the 11.29.09 Proctor & Gamble coupon insert., to get it for only $0.99. My honey LOVES this razor!
  • 1 (3) Pack of Ivory Soap – On sale for $0.99. I used the $1 off coupon from 12.27.09 Proctor & Gamble coupon insert.
  • 2 Rolls of Sweet Tarts – $0.89 each.
  • 1 Box of Wafers – $2.99
  • 1 Pack of Hefty Travel Zip Bags – $1.49. I wouldn’t have got these if they didn’t have the $1 off any Hefty bag purchase. My CVS always has $1 boxes of Hefty zip bags, so I can get a box for free!
  • 1 Pack of Girls Hair Accessories – $3.99
  • 1 (40) Pack of Tampons – $6.99
  • 1 (20) Pack of Tampons – $3.79. I also used a B1G1 free coupon from the 11.29.09 Proctor & Gamble coupon insert (I think).

Extra Bucks Used: $22.00 (that I earned last week)
Paid out of pocket: $11.56
Extra Bucks Earned: $8.00
Total Savings: $45.51!

  • According to my CVS receipt, our quarterly Extra Bucks will start printing at the registers beginning January 1, 2010…so be on the lookout!

  • Also, don’t forget to have your bag tag scanned. If you don’t have one already, I recommend getting one today. They are only $0.99 each. Simply attach on to your favorite reusable tote and have it scanned each time you shop at CVS. After every 4 scans, you will receive $1 EB. Easy money = :0)
I love CVS!!!

It was really cool to receive an extra $1 back from my latest purchase at CVS.
I guess I’ll start shopping there more often.
