Make Money Online as a Mock Juror!

by admin on October 22, 2009

Did you know that you could earn money online providing a valuable service as a mock Juror? For important cases, lawyers will pay money to mock jurors in exchange for their opinion about the case. This gives the attorneys a practice run before they present to an actual jury.

I first heard about online jury opportunities on Good Morning America. The guest was Tory Johnson, a work from home expert. Click here to read more about Tori and her work from home ideas.

I signed up with eJury and it took me a couple months to hear anything. Once I did, I was very excited. It was a very involved case and extremely interesting as well. There was a bit of reading involved, I had to read the docket three times. Then, I was required to provide thoughtful answers relating to the case. It did require concentration but it did not take too long to complete. A few days later, eJury deposited $9 into my Paypal account. Easy as that.

To qualify you must meet requirements similar to qualifications you must meet so serve as an actual juror. The following excerpt comes straight from eJury’s website:To qualify as an eJuror, you must:

  • be at least 18 years of age;
  • be a citizen of the United States;
  • be of sound mind and good moral character;
  • be able to read and write;
  • have never been convicted of a felony; and
  • not be under indictment or other legal accusation of misdemeanor theft or felony theft or any felony charge.

If this sounds like something you would be interested in, consider signing up with other companies. Here are a few more to get you started:

  • Click here to sign up for Trial Practices and learn how you can serve as a Surrogate Juror (in-person) and earn up to $100 for a day’s work. Must be selected randomly to participate.

*FYI: As with survey sites, pass up any online jury opportunities that charge you money. You should never have to pay. Additionally, you may want to consider registering with a different email address to keep it separate from your personal email account.

Thanks for sharing! I used to use my Pinecone survey money for a Subway veggie sandwich. It was a nice treat!
